From CLP 2024 program chair Amy Bauer, MD, FACLP, and assistant program chair Anne Gross, MD, FACLP.
Planning is underway for CLP 2024 in Miami, Florida, November 6-9, 2024!
This year’s theme, Promoting Whole Health Through Innovative and Integrative Approaches to C-L Psychiatry, will highlight advances in integrative medicine and health promotion to C-L Psychiatry.
The program will demonstrate evidence for integrative approaches to caring for our patients while teaching new skillsets incorporating therapeutic lifestyle, nutritional, and complementary interventions, alongside conventional psychiatric modalities, to deliver whole-person care for our patients and ourselves.
Expanding on the annual meeting tradition of combining rigorous academic content with enriching personal connections, CLP 2024 will offer experiential learning through practical demonstrations on such topics as mindfulness and cooking for optimal brain health to invigorate attendees in mind, body, and spirit.
The meeting will be held in-person and live-streamed to accommodate attendees with a range of needs or preferences for engagement.
To deliver an even more robust meeting experience with a greater range of presenters and topics, general sessions will be shortened to increase the total number of sessions.
Both general session and oral paper presenters will have the option to select in-person or recorded delivery. We will continue to offer live-streaming of educational content for virtual attendees.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion will continue to be an important focus in all aspects of our work, as will a focus on attendee wellness with health-promoting strategies interwoven into the meeting.
Returning this year will be the highly successful preconference Research Colloquium and Advanced Practice Provider course, as well as the tradition of holding an informative and fun debate.
The Annual Meeting Committee is hard at work to develop a cutting-edge scientific meeting with attention to networking, mentorship, and social connection.
The Academy of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry is a professional organization of physicians who provide psychiatric care to people with coexisting psychiatric and medical illnesses, both in hospitals and in primary care. Our specialty is called consultation-liaison psychiatry because we consult with patients and liaise with their other clinicians about their care.
With nearly 2,000 members, the Academy is the voice of consultation-liaison psychiatry in the US with international reach.
