This section of the ACLP website presents brief summaries of evidence-based knowledge about clinical topics seen frequently in consultation-liaison psychiatry. These clinical monographs are being developed jointly by the ACLP Guidelines and Evidenced-Based Medicine Subcommittee of the Research & Evidence-Based Practice Committee and the European Association of Psychosomatic Medicine (EAPM) [formerly the European Association for Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry and Psychosomatics, EACLPP].
The monographs review high-level clinical research studies and summarize their conclusions, which are reported in the context of quality of evidence. We believe clinicians will agree that the monographs help condense ever increasing research and help inform their diagnostic and management skills. We hope that the appendices, which include annotated references of randomized trials and questions for maintenance of certification (MOC), will be useful features.
