As psychiatrists working in collaboration with medical and surgical colleagues to care for patients, we stand together with our colleagues in unequivocally condemning racism. We regard racism as harmful to both mental and physical health and antithetical to our professional commitment to improving lives. We are therefore committed to opposing racism in all its forms in our policies, practice, education, and research endeavors and to fostering the diversity and inclusiveness of our organization.
