Description of Program

The VCU Fellowship Program started >40 years ago, one of the first CL programs accredited by the ACGME and approved by the APM (now ACLP), directed by James Levenson, editor of the APPI Textbook of Psychosomatic Medicine and Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry . We offer advanced training in a 750-bed university hospital. Fellows choose depending on their interests from outpatient and inpatient liaison opportunities in transplantation, primary care, proactive ICU rounds, traumatic brain injury, obstetrics, oncology, HIV, palliative care and more. Individual weekly supervision. On the consult service, fellows evolve in a leadership role.
