The VCU Fellowship Program started 40 years ago, one of the first PM programs accredited by the ACGME and approved by the APM, directed by James Levenson, editor of the APPI Textbook of Psychosomatic Medicine. We offer advanced training in a 750-bed university hospital. Fellows choose depending on their interests from outpatient and inpatient liaison opportunities in transplantation, primary care, traumatic brain injury, obstetrics, oncology, HIV, palliative care and more. Individual weekly supervision. On the consult service, fellows function in a leadership role. Fellows also may rotate at our affiliated VA Medical Center, a 500- bed flagship facility.
