Description of Program

Welcome to the one-year ACGME-accredited Fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry at Rush University Medical Center (RUMC. As Program Director, I am delighted to present a few of the unique and dynamic features of our program: 1. The Fellow will round with our inpatient Substance Use Intervention Team (SUIT), learning the latest in assessment and treatment of addiction. Board certified medical toxicologists also work on this team. 2. Elective time allows the Fellow to explore sub-specialty areas within the discipline, in a more intensive manner (e.g. oncology, cardiology, MICU, transplant medicine, etc.) 3. The Fellow will participate in a Quality Improvement Project, providing an opportunity to leave a distinct mark of enduring contribution in a personalized way. 4. Our neurology, neuroscience, and neurosurgical services are nationally recognized programs, offering an opportunity to see complex and rare conditions, as we are a destination center for neurological care. We encourage and invite you to contact us for complete information and details about our Fellowship Training Program in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry.
