Description of Program

Fellowship offers a diverse set of administrative, academic, and clinical experiences. Outpatient offerings include collaborative care with the UCD primary care network, renal transplant clinic, Huntington's disease clinic, and psycho-oncology clinic. Fellows may augment their inpatient training with 2 week electives in forensic psychiatry, child consult, community CL, and palliative care. Fellows have a half day per week to develop an academic project or pursue a new clinical opportunity. Opportunities for 1/2 day electives include the new Advanced Psychiatric Therapeutics Clinic (APT), Medically Complex Psychiatric Consult Clinic (MC-PCC), and Liver Transplant Psychiatry. Teaching opportunities include teaching of pre-clinical UCD medical students, clinical supervision of students and residents, and teaching psychiatry resident seminars.

In its 2022-23 survey, U.S. News & World Report ranked UC Davis Medical Center as one of the nation’s best hospitals in nine adult medical specialties.

We were recognized as the No. 1 hospital in the Sacramento area, and among the top 10 in California.
