Description of Program

This fellowship provides psychiatric consultation experience at Yale New Haven Hospital, which is a tertiary care academic medical center with many specialized types of units, and the West Haven VA Medical Center, which has multiple diverse outpatient clinical services. An extensive didactic program covers basic and advanced topics in consultation psychiatry, as well as research methodology, case conferences, and service rounds with outside invited speakers. There is no emergency department coverage, and no night or weekend call (excellent weekend moonlighting opportunities are available).

Academic research projects are strongly encouraged but not required.
