Case report on young patient with early Alzheimer’s

This week’s webinar topic (for June 14, 12:30-1:00 PM EDT) has been changed to:

Death with Dignity: Is it suicide? A Case Report and Discussion

Case presenter will be Lew Cohen, MD, professor emeritus, Departments of Psychiatry, University of Massachusetts-Chan Medical School and Tufts University School of Medicine.

Discussant will be Margaret Battin, MFA, PhD, distinguished professor, Department of Philosophy, adjunct professor, Department of Internal Medicine, Center for Health Ethics, Arts and Humanities, University of Utah.

Moderator Paul Desan, MD, PhD, Department of Psychiatry, Yale School of Medicine, says: “We are delighted to host Drs. Cohen and Battin, who are world-renowned for their research and expertise in assisted dying and other areas of bioethics.

“Dr. Cohen will present a case from his recent book, Winter’s End. The case involves a young patient with early Alzheimer’s Disease, who resolved to take a fatal overdose when he judged the time to be right.”

The topic originally scheduled for June 14, Management of Mood During Breast Cancer: A Case of Concomitant Use of SSRIs and Tamoxifen, has been rescheduled to later in 2023. If you previously registered for the original webinar you do not need to register again.
