Annual event aims to increase research and scholarship skills to turn ideas into completed projects
The program for this year’s ACLP Annual Meeting will again include a colloquium to promote research and scholarship within C-L Psychiatry.
Registered participants will engage in one of three tailored tracks:
Thirteen impressive speakers and mentors guide the colloquium. Already confirmed speakers include:
The colloquium aims to enlarge the cadre of C-L psychiatrists who have the skills needed to take scientific investigations and evidenced-based scholarly work from initial ideas to completed projects.
Competition for places in this increasingly popular part of the Annual Meeting program will be intense, so sponsors, the Academy’s Research Subcommittee, are giving early notice of deadlines for applications and registration for the tracks.
The first deadline of August 1 is for independent investigator applicants; the other two track registrations will close August 31 or once filled.
Criteria for applicants is shown on the guidance webpage. Six applicants will be selected for the Independent Investigator track. Elected applicants will receive complimentary registration for the ACLP Annual Meeting and a $250 stipend to cover travel costs.
Participation for the other two tracks will be limited to the first 35 individuals to register per track. Registration for and participation in the colloquium is at no additional cost, but participants must be registered for the Annual Meeting.
Key organizers Maria Prom, MD, and Zev Nakamura, MD, chair and vice-chair of the Research Subcommittee, say: “We are really looking forward to an engaging third annual Developing Scholarship and Research Colloquium led by a truly impressive group of dedicated speakers and mentors.”
