Make Your Choice for ACLP Award Nominations

There’s still time for ACLP members to get involved

There’s still time for ACLP members to get involved and nominate recipients for several of this year’s Academy awards.

Who in particular would you like to visit your institution, to bring their expertise, and maybe help develop an innovation you’d had in mind?

Visiting professor successful nominations of the past have included last year’s winner, Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine. Their visiting professor was Sheila Lahijani, MD, FACLP, chair of the Palliative Medicine & Psycho-Oncology SIG, who helped them to develop a model for an inpatient psycho-oncology service and support for an existing outpatient psycho-oncology clinic which had limited capacity and was not staffed by a physician nor C-L psychiatrist.

Whom among your trainees stands out as being deserved of a travel grant to attend the ACLP Annual Meeting?

Which high-achieving members deserve the status of being acknowledged as a Fellow of the Academy?

Which newcomers to C-L Psychiatry would benefit from still further training and support by being among the eight selected for a Webb fellowship, open to PGY-4 residents, fellows in C-L Psychiatry or Child Psychiatry, or first-year attendings post fellowship in C-L Psychiatry or dual residency.

And among all those early-career faculty you may have mentored or who have caught your attention, which ones have a talent for health care research—and would benefit the most from an expert mentorship?

Deadlines for your nominations, and descriptions of awards, are:

 July 1

August 21
